Internationally recognized Professor Amy-Jill Levine will give the 2018 Lecture in Religion in the Hoblit Room of the Freeman Panhellenic Building. Her lecture is titled “My Experience Teaching in Prison.” Event poster.

Dr. Levine teaches at Vanderbilt Divinity School in New Testament and Jewish Studies. She is the author of numerous books including Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi, The Misunderstood Jew: The Church and the Scandal of the Jewish Jesus, The Jewish Annotated New Testament(with Marc Zvi Brettler), and The Meaning of the Bible: What the Jewish Scriptures and Christian Old Testament Can Teach Us (with Douglas A. Knight).
