FAIR TRADE items being offered for sale are made by women in third world countries struggling to make a better life for themselves and their children. Fair Trade breaks the cycle of poverty and exploitation and disrupts opportunities for Human Trafficking. Fair Trade labeling is similar to the 'Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval' in that standards have been established regarding working conditions, wages, child labor, and the environment in the developing countries these products represent. The Fair Trade label carries a message to us as consumers that we are purchasing products that are produced in a socially just way.
Just in time for Christmas shopping, these uniquely beautiful products include housewares, baskets, toys, cards, clothing, scarves, musical instruments, jewelry, candy, coffees and much more.
This event is hosted by Diciples Women’s Fellowship of Community Christian Church at 1064 North Business Route 5 in Camdenton. All proceeds go to support local and global mission projects.
