The Methodist Churches of northeast Missouri are putting on the third “Rural Ministry Now” conference, which is focused on the needs and challenges of rural ministry. This conference is one day long and on a Saturday, so that pastors can bring congregants with them. This conference is subsidized by the Mark Twain District, so that every person can attend for $20 dollars a person. The teaching is being done by rural pastors, so that what is presented is practical to our shared context.
This year we will be learning about Rural Poverty, Technology in a Rural Church, and Youth without Paid Staff. Also, we are creating an opportunity for youth to attend and learn about these topics. See the flyer for more information. Registration deadline Feb. 1.
