Regional Minister Ron Routledge will be leading a study of Transitions: Making Sense of Life’s Changes by William Bridges.
“Change is situational. Transition, on the other hand, is psychological. It is not those events but rather the inner reorientation and self-redefinition that you have to go through in order to incorporate any of those changes into your life. Without a transition, a change is just a rearrangement of the furniture….the subject of this book is the difficult process of letting go of an old situation, of suffering the confusing nowhere of in-betweenness, and of launching forth again in a new situation. Thus, transitions are composed of: 1—an ending, 2—a neutral zone, 3—a new beginning.” Bridges
Together we will explore these phases, both on a personal and corporate level, and draw inferences for our current reality of rapid changes. All are welcome. Participants are asked to read the book prior to the gathering.
