Boundary Training

  • Community Christian Church, Camdenton 1064 North Business Route 5 Camdenton, MO, 65020 United States (map)

We are created in and for relationships. Life-enriching relationships, whether with intimate partners, family, friends, colleagues or parishioners, require healthy boundaries. This workshop explores the meaning and practice of healthy boundaries in the context of ministry.

Participants must choose between the two available sessions.

The 101 training will be led by Rev. Craig McDonald, Chaplain at Ft. Leonard Wood. This group will meet in the fellowship hall. The 201 training will be led by Rev. Dr. Paul Koch, Regional Minister.  This group will meet in the sanctuary.

The 201 curriculum is intended as advanced training for those already familiar with the basic principles of healthy boundaries. It uses excerpts from A Sacred Trust, as well as Once You Cross the Line. 201 takes the curriculum from A Sacred Trust and continues the conversation taking a more in depth look at power and vulnerability, theology of boundaries, self-care, and social media.

Clergy with active ministerial standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) must participate in such a boundary training session every three years. The $50 registration fee includes lunch and any distributed materials. Sessions will not be streamed or recorded.
