Pastor as Spiritual Leader

Our retreat sessions will begin with the assumption that a pastor’s primary role is to be the spiritual leader of his/her congregation, and two key components of that assumption will be explored. First, the pastor’s own spiritual life must be healthy and growing. You will be introduced to, and experience, spiritual disciplines that can help deepen your spiritual life. Growth in your own spiritual life enables you to carry out the second component, which is to lead individuals and congregations into a deeper walk with Christ. The goal of the retreat sessions is to feed you spiritually and give you some new tools, so that you are better able to feed others as you come alongside them in their spiritual journeys.
