Two thirds of Americans agree that climate change is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. There are many proposals about how to proceed, but in today’s divided political landscape it is sometimes difficult to find unbiased information on which to base one’s environmental decisions.  En-ROADS (Energy Rapid Overview and Decision Support) is a freely available software simulator developed by MIT Sloan and Climate Interactive which allows users to test and explore various climate solutions.  Participants in the interactive presentation suggest solutions to reduce the production of greenhouse gases while considering other factors (cost, economic impact, effected populations, etc.) En-ROADS allows the scenarios to be compared and contrasted in a fast and easy to understand way.

The session will be led by Roger Bergman, an educator with over 40 years of experience in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Principles of Technology at the High School and College levels and is also a trained Climate Ambassador. In the presentation Roger uses En-ROADS to work with the participants to produce scenarios where global temperature rise and the resulting human suffering can be effectively limited. By attending this presentation you will become a  more knowledgeable steward of God’s Creation.
