The Mid-America Preaching Workshop invites pastors from around the region to collaborate together on the practice of preaching, offering the opportunity to learn from one another and develop key insights to sharpen and strengthen their preaching ministry. With presentations and breakout sessions covering a wide range of practices and possibilities, along with a special presentation at the Springfield gathering led by the Rev. Lee Hull Moses (Executive Director of the Proclamation Project, a new Disciples initiative designed to equip and empower Disciples preachers to proclaim the good news), there’s something for everyone, whether you are brand new to the pulpit or have been preaching for as long as you can remember. This session can be attended in person or virtually via Zoom.
Thanks to the generosity of our underwriters (including the Mid-America region and the Lilly Endowment’s support of the Proclamation Project), registration is only $10 and includes lunch.
Other similar sessions are available on Friday, September 29 at First Christian Church in Cameron and on Saturday, September 30 at Celebration Church in St. Peters. These sessions will not include the presentation by Rev. Lee Hull Moses, however her piece will be recorded and posted on our website for viewing after the event.
