What a beautiful experience it has been at the Warming Center! We’ve had the honor of hosting nine different guests thus far, each bringing their own stories, struggles, and incredible strength. These are the moments where God shows up in ways we can’t ignore—where we see the face of Jesus in every person who enters our space.
Thanks to a $500 grant from Week of Compassion, we’ll be able to have additional resources to keep this vital ministry running, providing warmth, safety, and love for our neighbors. And it’s not just us—Loaves and Fishes have opened their doors, allowing us to serve breakfast each morning. This has been such a gift, and it’s a testament to the amazing web of support that’s forming across our community. Churches, organizations, and individuals are coming together in a beautiful picture of unity and service.
But what makes this work so special are the moments in between—the stories we hear, the laughter we share, and the simple ways God’s grace shows up. Every guest reminds us that this is indeed holy ground. We are reminded each day that even if we don’t see a clear way forward, when we step out in faith, God meets us there and makes a way.
Thank you, church family, for making this possible. Whether you’ve donated, prayed, volunteered, or simply cheered us on from afar, you are part of this mission. You’re helping us create a space where people feel seen, loved, and valued.
Let’s keep showing up, because through this work, Jesus is showing up too.
Peace,
Pastor Stephanie
