Support for Clergy Continuing Education and Ministerial Formation

Mid-America Disciples take seriously the need to offer financial support to those clergy who desire to prepare well and to continually develop personally and professionally as they serve in ministry.

There are a number of organizations, foundations, and congregations that offer partial or full scholarships for commissioned as well as ordained ministers.  The following list is not exhaustive:

• Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U.S. and Canada

  • Homeland Ministries Scholarships (up to $500 for continuing education/more for ministerial student scholarships)

  • Disciples Related Colleges and Seminaries (visit each site for information about financial assistance)

  • Mid-America Disciples Women (Christian Ministries Scholarship Fund)
